Young Adult NAMI Connection
Young Adult NAMI Connection is a support group for ages ranging from 16-20 or 18-30 depending on the group. The group is facilitated by young adults who live with mental illnesses and are doing well in recovery. Click here to find Young Adult NAMI Connection groups.
LGBTQ Connection Support Group
NAMI offers a support group for LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning) adults living with a mental illness. Meets every Saturday from 1:00-2:30 p.m. at Living Table United Church of Christ, 3805 E. 40th St. in Minneapolis, contact David at 612-920-3925.
NAMI Minnesota Dual Diagnosis Support Groups
NAMI Minnesota’s peer-led dual diagnosis support groups are for adults living with both a mental illness and an addiction such as chemical dependency. Participants learn skills to help them deal with their addiction and gain support from their peers. Find meeting locations, here.
NAMI Open Door Anxiety Support Groups
NAMI Open Door Anxiety Support Groups provide peer suppor, teach effective strategies in anxiety management, and promote better understanding of anxiety disorders. Find more information and meeting locations, here.
NAMI WebConnect Support Groups
NAMI Minnesota has two web-based support groups for people living with a mental illness called NAMI WebConnect. One is for adults living with a mental illness, and the other is for young adults, ages 18-30. Find out how to access the groups, here .

Depression Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) Support Groups
Mental Health Minnesota offers self-help support groups for people living with depression or bipolar disorder.
Depression Support Coalition – Offers weekly discussion and support group meetings are offered at some Coalition church locations. These support groups are designed to provide a network of Christian-based support for those affected by depression as well as their family members. Everyone is welcome to attend, regardless of religious affiliation or spiritual beliefs. Monthy education meetings also offered. Postpartum Anxiety Depression Support Groups are offered free through Allina Hospitals Clinics. Topics include anxiety and postpartum depression, helpful self-care tips, mothering, new identities and new boundaries, grieving the loss of familiar routines, treatment options, etc. For more information or to register (requested), call 612-863-4770. The groups meet weekly in Minneapolis on Tuesdays, from 1:30-3:00 p.m. at Abbott NW Mental Health Outpatient Clinic, 800 E. 28th St. Waise Center, Suite 600; and in West St. Paul on Wednesdays, from 1:30-3:00 p.m. at Dakota County Northern Service Center, 1 Mendota Rd. W.

OCD Support Group
The Twin Cities Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) support group meets on the 1st 3rd Saturday of each month, from 11:00-1:00. at Faith Mennonite Church, 2720 E 22nd St. in Minneapolis. Get referrals, resources and support. Call in advance: Burt at 612-722-1504.

Support Group for New Moms – Meets on the 2nd 4th Mondays from 12:00-12:45 p.m. at Park Nicollet Clinic, 3800 Park Nicollet Blvd, 7th Floor, Dwan A, in St. Louis Park. Learn ways to cope with what’s causing you stress, sadness, or anxiety. Connect with other moms experiencing similar feelings at a free drop-in support group. Come with or without your new baby. Please do not bring other children, as we are not able to accommodate siblings. Group facilitated by two experienced female therapists. For more Information call 952-993-3307.

Mental Health Minnesota offers warmline telephone support for MN residents, Tuesdays-Saturdays from 4:00-10:00 p.m. Call: 651-288-0400 or 1-877-404-3190. Warmline is a non-crisis, peer-centered, free telephone support group for people with mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety disorders, bi-polar disorder, etc.
